Transcript: This is kind of a neat spot and one that I never actually have been to prior to today, even though it’s only a couple of hours’ drive from where I live.
This is Billy Bishop Airport just adjacent to downtown Toronto, but it’s on an island. You’ve actually got to take a ferry to get over there, or you can take an underground pedestrian tunnel. It’s kind of neat, and as I said, this is my first time here.

I came here this morning to meet with my friend and previous guest my podcast, Cornell Thomas. You can hear him in Episode 41. He was coming in from the United States to do a little scouting here in Toronto today for an event that he’s got coming up.
The reason why I’m mentioning Cornell while I’m sitting here by this airport is that he and I got talking during that podcast, and in the time that we’ve gotten to know each other afterwards, about how it’s interesting that there’s something initially that gets you moving forward.
If you can find that one thing that gets you moving forward, it doesn’t necessarily have to be that same one thing that ends up being the destination.
For him it was basketball, and that’s what he really wanted to do with his life, and had just about achieved that, had a pro contract offer for a team in Portugal when he blew his achilles out, and then that dream was wrecked, but that brought him into another line of work and part of his life, which was coaching. And then he thought that he wanted to go into professional coaching, or to be a coach of a division one men’s basketball team. And as he got working at that, that propelled him into what he’s doing now, speaking internationally, and motivating people, and working with kids, and just doing terrific work.
I just think it’s interesting how, if you can find that one thing that gets you moving forward, it doesn’t necessarily have to be that same one thing that ends up being the destination; the point is to keep moving. You’re going to meet new people, like me with my friend Cornell, which brought me here to have the new experience of seeing a cool place like this.
This seems to be one of the ways the law of attraction works. Magical people and places await, if you only would keep going …
