Want more social media post ideas? Do this.
Ever find it challenging to come up with social media post ideas and/or even some phrasing or subjects to address in your traditional marketing and advertising? Here’s what to do.
Go get the perspective about your business from someone or who has nothing to do with the day-to-day workings of your industry. In other words, find someone who will bring a completely different perspective to you (because they’re not inside your business) and ask them how they see your business.
Next, listen carefully to what they have to say, because the perspective they’re going to give you is probably a lot more representative of the public at large; the kinds of people you’re looking to connect to.
There’s a good chance that, with your social media and traditional advertising, you’re speaking the language that the rest of the people in your industry speak. But the people you’re looking to connect to don’t speak that way. They don’t see it the same way.
We’re so close to what we do on a day-to-day basis that it’s difficult to pull ourselves back and see those other perspectives. So ask someone else. Ask someone from outside your industry circle how they view your business and what they think.
And listen very closely to what they have to say.
